FAQs
Teams should provide their own balls
The winning Captain must submit a Rhino League 2023 Score Reporting Google Form
You must have a Harvard ID and be on a team roster to play in the RHINO LEAGUE. You can play for ONLY 1 team.
No wives-husbands-sisters-brothers or other ringers may play, unless they have a Harvard ID....library and gym cards don't count.
If a player breaks any of these rules; all games are forfeit for the season and their team(s) may not participate in either play-off tournament.
Teams may add players to the roster at any time during the season.....but players must play in 2 regular season games to participate in playoffs.
The only exception to the no ID-rule is if you have participated in the RHINO LEAGUE in the past....once RHINO...always RHINO.
You may have to re-schedule a regular season game.....
To do so:
1. Contact your opposing captain.
2. Find an agreeable date/time.
3. Contact RHINO Commissioner
You may NOT re-schedule for 2pm...this time is left open to ensure afternoon games start on time.
You may NOT re-schedule for Friday at/after 4pm....this is TGIF and the court is open for pick-up games.
The only time a game must be re-scheduled is due to weather (lightning storm). If you need to re-schedule because you do not have enough players then your opponent has the right to refuse and take the win by forfeit...but that wouldn't be very RHINO....
THERE ARE NO RE-SCHEDULES DURING PLAY-OFFS...DON'T ASK.
A and B divisions are the "competitive" divisions and are at an equal level. They are separated into 2 divisions to make scheduling easier.
The same is true for the "fun" C and D divisions.
Seedings for the regular season are determined by last years' regular season and playoff results.
Regular Season wins-losses are weighted accordingly for playoff seeding:
A-B win = 3 points
A-B loss = -1 point
C-D win = 1 point
C-D loss = -2 points
The top 32 teams play in the double-elimination Rhino Cup Playoffs. The remaining teams play for The Dung.
Teams that play in the A/B division earn an automatic bid to the RHINO CUP Playoffs.
the court is first come ...first serve ....when RHINO games are not scheduled.
